I'm going to see Blur this summer, not once, but twice! My Glastonbury tickets aren't official...but they didn't sell out last year so I'm fairly confident that will pan out just fine, and I've officially purchased the Hyde Park tickets, so it's really happening! I'm also going to be spending some time in Danmark, så jeg skal begynde at øve mit dansk!

I have no idea how I am going to contain myself with Damon, Graham AND Alex in front of me and in person. I will probably die.

I am obsessed with Blur. Officially.

So, is Caitlin Cooper supposed to be Cory Kennedy? With that thinly disguised Cobrasnake rip off? And Blair is getting pathetic, I don't like it.

I only have ten more minutes of my shift left at work, so I can't do a full Lolla recap quite yet, so instead you are going to have to settle for just the main points I want to get off my chest right away...

1. Radiohead are a lovely band to study, chill, or dance like an idiot to...but aren't all that amazing live.
2. The Raconteurs are, as usual, very amazing live.
3. Tom Clarke is short, but much better proportioned than I would have assumed.
4. I am very good at spotting celebrities...this includes Lindsay Lohan, Danny Masterton, Ashley Simpson, Pete Wentz, and Slash.
5. Don't become friends with flaky people.
6. I DO in fact enjoy Bloc Party live.
7. I hate potheads.
8. Alcohol is expensive.
9. Mark Ronson puts on a surprisingly entertaining live show.
10. I am amazing at running into friends among crowds of 100,000+ people without prior contact.

More to come later...but, I should also mention that I finished "Breaking Dawn" and it was utter shit. The worst plot ever. I ended up hating Edward, which was something I never foresaw happening. It felt like a really crappy episode of The X Files. Bad, just really, really bad.

Though I was not completely satisfied with the set list last night, Jarvis was still amazing. So flamboyant, energetic, and fucking cool...he has reaffirmed my love for him, even though it never went away. And so damn funny...ack, I'm finally starting to realize where my love for pale, skinny nerdy boys comes from...it's all Jarvis' fault.

I am watching "I Love the New Millenium" because I have no life and I've come to the realization that I may have a crush on Andrew W.K.

I've been using Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet as my study music for the past few months, but it tends to get a bit "epic" at times and then suddenly change to sleepy times which makes for a rough time staying in an even mood to make it through an eight hour history study session.  But I have found the perfect replacement...the original soundtrack from Breakfast at Tiffany's...it took a while to track it down as the only full soundtrack that appears to be available is actually a jazz rerecording, but I think I've managed to piece together a pretty complete tracklisting by picking through random Mancini compilations.

So my roommate backed out on my, as usual, and I am going to Pitchfork alone again.  So anyone in the Chicago area planning on going/want to go?  I'll be fine going again, but I'll probably be getting there a few hours before Jarvy goes on, and I will feel lonely.

On my trip to Florida last week I decided that I didn't want to "exert" my mind anymore than I had to before classes start again, so I purposely made my reading list ridiculously light...as in strictly young adult fantasy , which has always been my weakness. I finished His Dark Materials on the drive there, and while I really enjoyed the first two books, it got downright amazing towards the end of The Amber Spyglass. Never in my life have I wanted two book characters to be together more than Will and Lyra...until I started my next read, (well sort of next read, I finished off what CS Lewis I had left first) Twilight. Oh. My. God. I read the entire thing in two days (which is impressive for me, a child of ADD), and I had to make an emergency stop at a bookstore to pick up the next books in the series as soon as I finished. I really thought I was over falling for literary figures, but Edward Cullen has claimed my heart. This is getting ridiculous...but seriously, amazingly addictive.

Thank God I'm taking two literature classes next semester so I don't feel like I'm completely rotting my brain away between all of the fantasy novels and science fiction television I'm indulging in...otherwise I might end up more of a nerd than I already am...haha, not possible.

Wow, Steven Moffat really is a genius. This season had been kind of stagnant lately, but I loved tonight's episode...and now I'm really upset that I'm going to have to wait an extra day to see conclusion next week as I'll be driving back from Florida all Saturday. Ack, I need to find out who River Song is...I know the rumor that's appeared in the tabloids, but I need to find out for real.

In other news, I haven't packed a thing yet, I still have to organize my iPod, and I have to be asleep in four hours if I want to be able to wake up at 4AM tomorrow. I'd better get to work.
